Big Bang Blows Up the Hip Hop Game

Tearing across the Midwest and right through the U.S. hip hop scene like a runaway tornado is Cedar Rapids, Iowa’s Big Bang. Combining traditional rap sensibility with silky smooth R&B, as well as a number of other musical twists and turns along the way, this fresh, exciting group is spreading like wildfire as they consistently turn heads from coast to coast. As their list of impressive collaborations and sold out performances continue to grow, Big Bang is solidifying themselves as a force to be reckoned with throughout the hip hop community.

Created by a group of lifelong friends, Tone Da Boss, DaChaMan, Zaya, Tuff Laun, and Tony T. pooled their talents together to generate catchy, yet original music. While each of the members offers their unique voice and liquid flow, mastermind Tony T. produces and engineers every track to its absolute best, catching the ear of DJs, radio stations, and major rap stars across the country.

Their first single, “Sponge Bob Ready” catapulted the group to a new level of success, as the video generated over 100,000 plays on YouTube and garnered Big Bang national attention. Lil Wayne’s Young Money label mate Lil Chuckee eventually produced a remix of the song which even furthered the storm of hype around the track, opening the door for this Iowa powerhouse to break into the rap game.

While their music catalog continued to grow, Big Bang landed shows at over 100 different venues in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, New York, Tennessee, and Georgia. From sold out clubs to arena performances, they were also invited to open up for major artists such as Twista, Young Buck, and Wiz Khalifa. As time passes by, fans are quickly recognizing the Big Bang brand as they burn up their MySpace and YouTube pages with plays.

The latest hit, “Polo” is locked and loaded for national airplay, as Big Bang gears up to take their music to new heights of popularity and success. Coinciding with the radio campaign is their latest and most eye popping video yet, which was shot in New York, directed by Javier Goin, and is already generating thousands of hits. Another impressive collaboration “Holster,” features multiplatinum star Young Buck, who is just the beginning of a lengthy list of rappers ready to recognize Big Bang.

Hip hop fans should keep their eyes and ears open, as Big Bang is like a ticking time bomb, ready to explode into the stratosphere at any given moment. “Polo” is available through iTunes and other digital outlets now, along with “Sponge Bob Ready,” as well as their latest record, The Bangover. Music videos, songs, ringtones, photos, and more are all available on their official website and MySpace pages.
