It's been seven months since The Niceguys released their debut full-length, The Show, and the accolades continue to roll in. Back in March, they covered the Houston Press, and this summer they'll be one of the featured acts taking part in Tour Texas, joining a handful of fellow rising Texas acts to perform in cities and towns across the state. And even though The Niceguys still have a video forthcoming for the album single "Die Later," Yves Saint, DJ Candlestick, Cristolph, and Free have begun the process of putting the final touches on their forthcoming project, The James Kelley EP, to be released this summer.
And for the upcoming EP, The Niceguys are inviting fans in, to take part in the process of creating the new project, and in doing so have launched The James Kelley EP Fan Art Contest. The contest, which is open now, is giving fans the chance to submit their very own cover art for the EP, and the winner will be chosen directly by The Niceguys. The artist who submits the winning entry will receive full credit for their work and see their image distributed everywhere alongside the EP, which is set to release in digital and in hard-copy form. Full details on what exactly the group is looking for and how to go about submitting your artwork can be found here: http://thenicelook.com/JKEPContest.html, and to help fuel in the creative juices The Niceguys have released the latest in their Nice Short video series, directed as always by Tubo, and taking a fun look into the question, "Who Is James Kelley?"
