Press Release: Witchdoctor Conjures Up Another Classic

July 2011 -- More than thirteen years removed from his, now, classic debut solo outing, A S.W.A.T. Healin' Ritual, Dungeon Family alum, Erin "Witchdoctor" Johnson is back with his brand new, radio ready single, "Safe Like The Pope Car," from his soon-to-be released magnum opus, The United Race Ov America.

Largely known for his intense, thought provoking lyricism, the native Atlantan takes the backseat on "Safe Like The Pope Car," where he's joined by female proteges, F.A.O.L. (pronounced For All), on the airy, feel good summer-time anthem.

"This project is another explosion from the Witchdoctor's arsenal!" E.J. exclaims with excitement. Elaborating, he further expounds, "The title is extremely interesting, with race taking the place of states. Race having two different meanings; race as in all ethnic groups and race meaning literally running away from the competition."

On the overall subject matter and musical direction he's taken on The United Race Ov America, Witchdoctor vividly describes, "This project includes cuts like 'Run Shit,' produced by Organized Noize, having a controversial tone (and) targeting all authority on planet earth. The hit song, 'Pope Car,' features F.A.O.L. Girls spittin' and having the time of their lives riding safe in the Pope car. And, 'American Cocoa' gives the streets and gangsta players that grit that every Hip-Hop head crave for."

Witchdoctor, who has since relocated to Davenport, Iowa,  also reached out to a few very talented locals who also contribute to the more-than impressive set. "Newcomer Millie G makes an appearance on 'Dead Presidents.' Also, there is production from Iowa residents Grape City. With the whole world migrating to the U.S.A., this album is classic and will change a few minds for the future (that) is at hand," E.J. believes wholeheartedly. More special guests will be announced shortly.

Witchdoctor recently dropped a teaser/warm-up entry, the Grimey Beats' laced, "The Bomb," available everywhere now, with The United Race Ov America [Dezonly1 Records] scheduled for release Tuesday October 18th 2001 on iTunes, and all other major digital and retail outlets.
