What happened to B.G.'s group? We've got the scoop thanks to a tip sent in by CD. The Chopper City Boyz' debut album with B.G. was released on Koch Records and has sold over 50,000 copies to date, but recently B.G. and group member VL Mike had a disagreement that according to B.G.'s fam is blown way out of proportion. "We are not beefing with Mike or anyone else. B.G. is an artist and a CEO, we have done our best to put our stamp of approval and endorsement on The Chopper City Boyz in effort to blossom their careers and create opportunity for the vast array of talent that New Orleans has to offer," said Carol Dorsey, co-CEO of Chopper City Records. "We will continue on finding new talent in the South because there is a lot of un heard talent that can have the same opportunity that VL Mike had and the other Chopper City Boyz have." Dorsey further relates that B.G. is focused on his new project "Too Hood to be Hollywood" and to getting the CCB's sans Mike back into the studio. "We wish Mike the best of luck as a solo artist. We are not mad with him or anyone else for that matter. There is no beef from B.G. at all. In fact I spoke to Mike personally and he assured me that everything was over and done with." Their current plan is to host a contest to find a fourth member to complete the group. Visit starting next week for more information on this contest. B.G.'s next album is set for release on Atlantic Records in September.
