The Rugged Man is currently on tour supporting his critically acclaimed new album Legends Never Die, and after a recent stop in Germany, R.A. caught up with DLTLLY for an in-depth video interview. In the clip, R.A. speaks on his tenure with major labels Jive and Priority, explaining that (contrary to industry rumor) neither label ever dropped him, and that he actually paid to get out of his Jive contract.

His skills as a producer also set him apart from the rest because of his ability to mix, master, and record all his own tracks. A music video to "Come Get It" featuring Jarren Benton of Funk Volume dropped on March 12th on YouTube and was directed by SMKA in Atlanta.

So Apparent is the first single off the upcoming J'You album, "June 16". It is an in your face song that points "the finger" at the new age rappers of today. It is both catchy and witty and blends a commercial vibe with an underground type of flow. Rap is overcrowded with hipsters and poster boys, but J'You does not give a fuck and it should be apparent.

Atari Blitkrieg's "Technicolor Crime Scenes" Out Now

Today, Uncommon Records presents Atari Blitzkrieg's long awaited full length Uncommon debut, Technicolor Crime Scenes. Atari explains that this album was "inspired by this 24/7 media consumption culture" and that it "doesn't praise or critisize that, it simply reflects on it, so because of that the album is obviously much darker in tone then anything I've done in the past". To call Atari Blitzkrieg eclectic would be a colossal understatement.
