Lucas: “Gust” is an extension of the music from our debut album Diving Lessons, which we released this past summer. The track is a mix of electronic, indie hip-hop, folk, and R&B, detailing a relationship stuck in purgatory. It’s one of my favorite songs we’ve created because it came from an extremely vulnerable moment, was written and recorded it one day, and features some melodies and rapping unlike anything else we’ve done before.
