Depending on where you live Galaga ’88 goes by different names. The original title stems from an arcade release (in 1987), and the Japanese version on PC Engine carried it, but when it made the jump to TurboGrafx-16 it was renamed Galaga ’90. In Europe it was known as Galaga 2, even though it’s the fourth game in the Galaxian line (Galaxian, Galaga, Gaplus, Galaga ’88). Confusing? Yes! Does it matter? Not really!

This game is so much fun that you should play it by ANY name. Triple ship power-ups, dimension warp zones, boss stages, and so much more take it FAR beyond the Galaga you know and love.
