Somari is a rom hack of the original Sonic the Hedgehog inspired by a bootleg Famicom game that attempted to put Sonic on a Nintendo console; Team Somari obviously decided it was time to return the favor. Sonic games on Nintendo platforms may seem normal these days but there was a time when either company’s “mascot” appearing on the other’s console was 100% out of the question!
