Once you have it hacked I recommend the Better Homebrew Browser, a far superior option to the standard way to find and download homebrew apps and games that is in VitaDeploy. With it I was able to download a package to put Gato Roboto on my Vita (a fantastically fun Metroidvania) and also get remakes of Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and Sonic 2 for Sega Master System that had been ported to the Vita.
