I have a CRT with an AV modded Atari 7800, and I have a vintage Atari 2600 hooked up to a Commodore 1702 monitor, so I was already well set for ways to play my old Atari carts. The idea of a device to play Atari VCS games on that has HDMI output intrigued me though, but I was fully aware going in that the Retron 77 is emulator based as opposed to being either real hardware or a FPGA recreation of the original circuitry and TIA.
