From mourning a private loss in "Pain," to praying for success in "Cold World," he divulges his inner thoughts on slickly produced pop tracks.
Perhaps a better way to describe it would be rather an R&B influenced genre of pop music.
Either way, the combination of polished production and gliding vocals serve up a highly personal musical work about pain and growth.
