Cadash was an arcade hit for Taito and a natural choice for a port to home consoles, which is exactly what it got for PC Engine and Mega Drive. Unfortunately when Working Designs was contracted to localize it for TurboGrafx-16 in North America, they didn’t just change the language and dialogue but in fact took liberties with the gameplay balance as a whole.
Considering the game was already changed to begin with just to port it to consoles, this was really bad form on their part.
