Steve 'Flash' JuonOne of the goals of The PC Engine Files is to expose somewhat obscure games like Bari Bari Densetsu (Vroom Vroom Legend) to a wider audience. This motorcycle racing title is based on a Japanese manga that was popular enough to win awards and have 38 volumes published between 1983 and 1991, spawning two OVA (original video animations) in the process.
Unfortunately that success may not be enough for anybody outside of Japan to be familiar with it, because even as a self-confessed anime fan, I had never heard of it nor read any translated manga from it, so not only am I sharing it with all of you I’m learning about a part of Japanese culture too.
