Verytex isn’t very hard because it’s a “bullet hell” shooter — it’s very hard because there’s an incredibly long space between checkpoints and some poor design choices that are visually impressive but make it IMPOSSIBLE to see the enemies to hit. With a few tweaks this Asmik SHMUP could have gone from “meh” to “pretty good” but as a Japanese exclusive release for Mega Drive this game was pretty much dead on arrival.
Due to a low print run, high demand for shooters and being a regional release only, this one has skyrocketed to $100+ for anything from loose to CIB. Consider carefully if that’s an investment you’d want to make and beware of counterfeit carts from China if you do.
