Our writer Jesal ‘Jay Soul’ Padania has already hinted at this one via social media.

So let’s make it official – we’re going to do a spotlight next week on female rappers, emcees, and women who contribute to hip-hop in general. That doesn’t mean we’re not going to have the usual compliment of other material that we normally do, but we’re going to give extra attention to the women that deserve to be mentioned. If you’d like to nominate albums we haven’t covered by women in hip-hop who deserve that kind of shine hit us up with some feedback and we’ll put them on the “to do” list. Thanks!
