The most obvious difference if you’re a Sega collector is that the first model had a volume control slider and a headphone jack in the front, while the second version had neither of those things. The models also had different synthesizer chips in them which cause some people to prefer the sound of one over another, but I’ll talk more about that in the next episode of Genesis Does.
