After seven years as a freelance writer for several rap magazines
both of his own design (HardC.O.R.E., HEADzUP!) and those owned
and run by others (181-4.com,
HipHopSite, URB Magazine)
Steve 'Flash' Juon conceived of the idea for this site in December
of 1999 as both a one-stop resource for reviews which he either
penned or appeared in any of his publications or websites.
Starting with an archive of 150 reviews from the past 18 months
of OHHLA.com, Flash expects
to have archived no less than 500 reviews by the end of 2000
including both his own large catalogue of work and submissions
from fine writers such as B. Ridge and DJ Fatboy. The ultimate
goal of RapReviews.com is to be the internet's definitive one-
stop resource for any rap review of any album, EVER. It's a
monumental goal but one which means the website will
be continually enhanced with new material, never getting stale.
If you are interested in contributing to this project and
think you have the necessary skills as a writer, contact
Flash with a resume
of your skills and experience. All writers submit on a
voluntary, non-profit basis and our advertising exists only
to cover webhosting expenses. The compensation writers
receive is in exposure through our organization. Past
contributors to Flash's projects have gone on to work for
URB Magazine, UrbanEarth.com,
and SonicNet among others.
Please be at least 18 years of age or older.
